PURPOSE:To efficiently perform the conversion work of a homonym to a target KANJI (Chinese character) character string. CONSTITUTION:An inputted reading character string is referred to a dictionary (102), and a part of speech string is generated (103). A pattern candidate is generated when an undecided part of speech exists (121), and it is referred to a typical part of speech pattern having priority information such as frequency information, etc., (124), and when coincidence is obtained, a pattern candidate is saved with the priority information of a typical pattern in which the coincidence is obtained (125), and a part of speech with high priority is stored in a part of speech sequence storage table. A KANJI with the highest priority out of the KANJIs of such part of speech is displayed setting the part of speech being in the first rank in the part of speech sequence storage table as a decided part of speech. When the KANJI is not a target KANJI and KANJI change input is performed by travelling a cursor, a KANJI of such part of speech of the KANJI is displayed in priority sequence. |
