PURPOSE:To obtain stable picture images even when a copy machine is used for a long time or even in a severe environment by incorporating a specified wt.% range of tetramethyl succinonitrile into a toner. CONSTITUTION:This toner contains a resin compsn. for toner, coloring agent, and 0.0001-3wt.% tetramethyl succinonitrile to the toner. The resin compsn. for the toner essentially consists of vinyl copolymers obtd. by polymn. by using a peroxide initiator. If the amt. of tetramethyl succinonitrile is less than 0.0001wt.%, the effect to obtain stable picture images for a long time or in a severe environment is hardly obtd. If the amt. exceeds 3wt.%, principal performance of the toner decreases or odor is produced during fixing. It is preferable that tetramethyl succinonitrile is uniformly dispersed in the toner and included in the resin compsn. for the toner. |
