<p>PURPOSE:To make the shifting amount of a distance constant regardless of a transmitting frequency and to facilitate the target detection from a received signal by controlling the pulse width of a transmitted signal so that the pulse width is inversely proportional to the central frequency in general. CONSTITUTION:A receiver 7 amplifies 71 the inputted target signal. Then, the high-frequency signal from a high-frequency generator 1 is mixed 72, and the signal is converted into the intermediate-frequency signal. The phase-change component is detected with a phase detector 73. Here, the low-noise amplifier 71 is constituted of a voltage-controlled amplifier. The gain is controlled in response to the controlled-voltage signal from a frequency controller 2 so that the signal is inversely proportional to the change in pulse width of the target signal approximately. The output of the phase detection from the receiver 7 is supplied into a signal processing part and converted 81 into the digital signal. Then, the signal is compressed into the appropriate shape in a pulse compressor 82 in accordance with the pulse width. After the position of the moving target is discriminated 83 from the component of the compressed phase change, the position signal is converted into the analog signal, and the position of the detected target is displayed on a display device 9.</p> |
