摘要 PURPOSE:To improve characteristics, such as inking property, stains by printing, plate wear and image reproducibility, by incorporating a multifunction type synthetic polymer and polyacrylic acid into image receiving layers and adjusting the liquid absorption amt. on the photosensitive layer side to a specific range. CONSTITUTION:At least one of the multifunctional type synthetic polymer having a functional group having affinity and a functional group for imparting hydrophilic activity and the polacrylic oxide having >=10000 average mol.wt. are incorporated into the layers contg. the physical development nuclei by heavy metals or the sulfides thereof and/or the adjacent layers of the planographic printing material for which a silver complex salt diffusion transfer method is applied. Further, the liquid absorption quantity per 1g hydrophilic colloid when the photosensitive layer side of this photosensitive material is immersed for one minute at 20 deg.C into an aq. 0.1N sodium hydroxide soln. is specified to 1 to 2.5g. The multifunctional type synthetic polymer preferably consists of the units having the functional groups expressed by formula I, formula II. In the formulas, A denotes the colloidal heavy metal and the actively acting functional group, B denotes the group to impart the hydrophilic activity.
