<p>PURPOSE:To provide such an excellent gas insulation switchgear that its expansion joint can be prevented from being damaged by an external factor and, at the same time, even when the expansion joint is damaged due to an internal failure, the damage of the switchgear can be minimized by discharging its internal gas. CONSTITUTION:An expansion joint 31 is used for connecting metallic containers 32 and 33 to each other and a metallic cover 34 is provided around the joint 31. Concretely, the joint 31 is equipped with flanges 31a and 31b for connecting the containers 32 and 33 at both ends and the cover 34 is fixed to the outer peripheral surfaces of the flanges 31a and 31b with bolts 35, etc. An aluminum or copper cover can be used as the cover 34. It is also possible to connect the cover 34 to the containers 32 and 33 with aluminum or copper conductors.</p> |
