<p>PURPOSE:To provide a position input device having simple constitution which requires no connection secured to a position designating device via a signal line and can detect the positions at a high speed with no deterioration of the peripheral accuracy. CONSTITUTION:The position designating device 6 contains a resonance circuit 7. First sense line groups 21-24 and 2nd sense line groups 31-34 are set with no direct electromagnetic connection secured between both groups. First and 2nd scanning circuits 8 and 9, and an excitation detecting/switching circuit 10 sequentially select two adjacent sense lines out of those sense line groups. When the device 6 gets close to the sense line groups, a positive feedback loop circuit is formed by these sense line groups and an amplifier circuit 4 and an oscillation signal s1 is produced. The amplitude of the signal s1 includes the information on the position designated by the device 6. Thus, a position detecting circuit 5c inputs the position information and calculates the designated position.</p> |
