PURPOSE:To reduce vocal chord sound source information and calculate a feature parameter with a small arithmetic quantity by calculating the feature parameter from an autocorrelation coefficient and a band-pass filter characteristic coefficient. CONSTITUTION:A primary feature parameters Bi is calculated from the band- pass filter characteristic coefficient Bik, which is calculated from frequency characteristics Wi(f) (i=1, 2...I, where (i) is the number of channels of a band- pass filter and (f) is the frequency) and stored in a BPF characteristic coefficient storage part in advance, and the autocorrelation coefficient Cx (k=0, 1...k, where (k) is the degree of the autocorrelation coefficient and K<N), calculated by windowing a sampled voice signal to specific length N), according to an equation II. Therefore, the feature parameter Bi is calculated from the autocorrelation coefficient Ck cut off at a low degree (K) and the band-pass filter coefficient Bik previously stored in the characteristic coefficient storage means, so the vocal chord sound source information is reduced. |
