<p>PURPOSE:To provide a tool for shaving off the secondary and tertiary coating of the end part of a mutifiber optical fiber tape fiber safely so as to divide it into each single-fiber optical fiber. CONSTITUTION:An optical fiber tape fiber 10 is set onto the tape fiber placing part 28 of a lower grip part 20 and held down by an upper grip part 40. Then the optical fiber tape fiber 10 is pressed onto a protruding part 30 by a spring 48 and a roller 50 so as to be brought into close contact and curved along the curved face 34. The blade tip 44 of a blade 42 bites into the curved part, as far as the secondary coating. When a tool is pulled frontward, one face of the secondary and tertiary coating 18 part of the optical fiber tape fiber 10 is shaved as at the time of planing a plate with a planer so as to be made into tape shape and go outside from an escape hole 46. The same process is applied to the opposite face to enable the separation into each single-fiber optical fiber.</p> |
