PURPOSE:To prevent an unnecessary exchanging operation and operational confusion by selecting only a disk reproducible with an application program as an exchanging object when plural kinds of recording disks are present in a mixed state. CONSTITUTION:When a target recording disk is selected and exchanged from recording disk groups on which plural recording disks having different standards or recording formats are present in the mixed state, for example, 'KARAOKE' (recorded orchestral accompaniment) mode is selected at a step 104. In this case, a disk exchanging operation is controlled so that a reproducing operation after the selection is executed within the range of the recording disks (that is, 'KARAOKE' CD-COM-XA) executable by the application programs of the recording disks ('KARAOKE' CD-ROM-XA) selected at this time. Thus, exchanging and displaying operations for a navigation CD-ROM and a music CD-DA independent of the 'KARAOKE' mode are not carried out. |
