<p>Carbon-carbon composite material for the mfr. of solar energy captors and refrigerators comprises a mixt. of a matrix of a carbonaceous prod. distn. residue pref. petroleum prods. and carbon of various types, pref. (pre)graphitic cokes. The compsn. pref. varies gradually in thickness to obtain a thermal conducting intermediate between that of the best insulators and that of good metal conductors. For producing panels, the appropriate materials are cast, moulded and compacted in layers. Solar captors are obtd. by incorporating glass or a transparent material to obtain a glass house effect.</p> |
