<p>PURPOSE:To provide a color filter manufacturing method applied to the manufacture of optionally arranged color layers by tansferring the colored layers, electrodeposited to an electrodeposition base, onto the transparent base face, and forming a black matrix by self-matching with these colored layers as exposure marks. CONSTITUTION:An electrodeposition circuit connected to the electrodeposition parts 19 of colored layers 21-23 of the same display color but electrically unconnected to the colored layers 21-23 of the other display colors is formed on the surface of an electrical insulating base 11. The electrodepositing operation of the colored layers 21-23 is then performed repeatedly per plural colors on the electrodeposition parts of the electrodeposition base using the electrodeposition bath of colorant with a pigment and polymeric material dispersed therein, and the colored layers 21-23 are batch-transferred onto the face of a transparent base 30 to be the color filter base. A black matrix 26 is then formed at the space parts where the colored layers 21-23 are not formed, on the face of the base 30 by self-matching with the colored layers 21-23 as exposure marks, and the electrodeposition base is used repeatedly.</p> |
