PURPOSE:To enhance accuracy of R wave synchronous multi-gate image in electrocardiogram by eliminating image data for arrhythmogenic heart beat and arbitrarily set subsequent heart beat from multi-gate image forming data. CONSTITUTION:An arrhythmia counter 15b is set at 0 and gamma ray 35 is taken from a specimen into a collecting circuit 36 and then stored, as an image data 37, into a buffer memory 11. At the same time, an electrocardiogram 32 is taken from an electrocardiograph 33 into an R-R circuit 14 where an R-R interval 34 is detected at every hear beat and delivered to a CPU 15. The CPU 15 makes a decision whether the R-R interval comes within a set time range. If it comes within the set time range, the CPU 15 decides that the hear beat is normal and a multi-gate converting circuit 12 converts the image data 37 into a multi-gate image 38 which is then stored in a memory 13. Upon decision of arrhythmia, number of hear beat to be removed is set in the counter 15b and image data for arrhythmogenic hear beat and subsequent heart beat is removed thus enhancing accuracy of multi-gate image.
