Ventilation device for cabin of motor vehicle - uses piezoelectric transducers to set up ultrasonic vibration of water surface, to generate cooling mist

The ventilation system moves air in the vehicle cabin between an inlet (13) and an outlet (14) opening in the cabin. The flow of air introduced into the cabin is formed by mixing air coming in from outside the vehicle with a mist created from a water reservoir (12), in which the surface of the water is set in vibration by piezoelectric transducers (26). The water reservoir contains a reflector (27) for the ultrasonic waves generated by the piezoelectric transducers, which are immersed in the water. The water is supplied by an electrically driven pump from a water storage vessel. USE/ADVANTAGE - Compact cooler for interior of vehicle, requiring little energy and providing for deodorising or scenting of air entering cabin. Prevents condensation forming in vehicle interior.
