PURPOSE:To provide a photosensitive belt supporting device capable of suppressing the causes of waving (unevenness), and stress concentration by absorbing mechanical force accompanying the sliding of a low frictional resistor slid with the rear surface opposite to the sensitive surface of a photosensitive belt. CONSTITUTION:In the photosensitive belt supporting device in sliding-contact with a supporting body 20 on the rear surface opposite to an optical writing position on the sensitive surface of the photosensitive belt 10 obtained by coating the surface of the jointless belt of a metallic substrate with an organic photosensitive material, the supporting body 20 is provided with the low frictional resistor 22 in sliding-contact with the rear surface of the photosensitive belt 10, a holder fixed on a frame and holding the low frictional resistor 22, and an elastic body 21 disposed between the low frictional resistor 22 and the holder, and absorbing the mechanical force accompanying the sliding, transmitted to the low frictional resistor 22, when it and the rear surface of the photosensitive belt 1 are slid. |
