METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DIAGNOSING DETERIORATION OF OVERHEAD SUSPENSION WIRE

PURPOSE:To discriminate the degree of deterioration of an overhead suspension wire through safe and short-time work by simultaneously displaying a picture showing the average degree of deterioration of the wire on a screen on which the picture of the wire taken by accessing the wire from the ground is displayed and comparing the pictures with each other. CONSTITUTION:When an expansion/contraction lever 5 is extended and the picture of an overhead suspension wire 1 to be inspected is taken with an image pickup machine 3 by hanging an image pickup machine fixing jig 4 from the wire 1, the taken picture is sent to a picture control section 6 as electric signals and displayed on the screen of a picture displaying section 11. When a picture controller 10 is then operated, the section 6 is actuated and simultaneously displays a picture showing the average degree of deterioration of the wire 1 on the screen of the section 11 after reading out the picture from a data base 7 in which pictures showing various average degrees of deterioration of the wire 1 are recorded in advance. The pictures recorded in the data base 7 are successively displayed on the screen by operating the controller 10. Then the degree of the deterioration of the wire 1 is discriminated from the picture showing the standard degree of deterioration which is the closest to the picture taken from the wire 1.
