PURPOSE:To easily and accurately remove image signals outside a bulb by separating a face plate from a glass substrate on which the signal removal lead is sealed and electrically connecting the signal removal lead and the signal removal area of the face plate. CONSTITUTION:A signal removal lead 18 is sealed on a glass substrate 17. Then a face plate 19 with tri-electrode structure is bonded and fixed to the specified position on the glass substrate 17 using epoxy system bonding agent 20. The signal removal area 5 and the signal removal lead 18 are wire-bonded by the use of an ultrasonic device, for example, using aluminum wires, and are electrically connected. The peripheral section of the glass substrate 17 whose fixation and electrical connection with the face plate 19 are finished and the bulb 8 are sealed using the indium sealing ring 11 and indium 12. As a result, a pickup tube is manufactured. |
