PURPOSE:To obtain equivalent information amount independently of paper size by replacing an image forming cartridge in a printer main body in response to a paper size to be printed out. CONSTITUTION:An image forming cartridge incorporates a photosensing body drum 3, a transfer device 4, a heat roller fixing device 5, a developer 7 and a charger 8, and the inside of the printer main body is provided with an accommodation section of transfer paper 1, a paper feed roller 2, and a laser write optical device 6 and also with an auxiliary optical system 6-2. Then the printed paper size is specified by the image forming cartridge to be loaded, and when the area of the size is 1/n of the size A4, the resolution is controlled to be >=200sq. rt. ndpi and even when the size of the paper is decreased, the resolution is increased inversely proportional to the width. Thus, the same information amount as that for the A4 size and 200dpi is obtained. |
