PURPOSE:To prevent the degradation of image quality caused by the surface staining of a recording paper due to residual toner and abnormal electrification due to the infiltration of toner on the surface of a photosensitive body after being transferred, into an electrifying part, when the toner is left because of a failure in cleaning. CONSTITUTION:A detector 8 detecting the toner remaining on the surface of the photosensitive body 1 is provided between a cleaning part 2 and the electrifying part 4 on an electrophotographic system image forming device, an output signal for displaying a cleaning state is sent to a system control part 12 to decide whether the cleaning is normal or defective, and the system control part 12 sends a control signal for controlling each part of an image forming device, to take measures for recleaning, etc. |
