摘要 |
A subsynchronous resonance mitigation system (20, 200, 300, 400), including a method and apparatus, for damping undesirable subsynchronous resonance oscillations in a generator (208, 210), which, if left unchecked, may damage the shafts of a turbine-generator set. A remote coupling apparatus, such as a thyristor controlled series capacitor (TCSC) system (30, 34 and 35), a sourced inverter device (302), or a static phase shifter (420), is coupled to the generator (208, 210) by a transmission line (24, 204). In response to a firing command (48, 310), the coupling apparatus introduces subsynchronous resonance mitigating currents into the transmission line (24, 204). Sensors (44, 222, 237) monitor power line parameters and/or the generator speed, and in response thereto, a higher-level controller (86, 220) generates a voltage command (85, 308). A vernier controller (50) responds to the monitored power line parameters and the voltage command (85, 308) to provide the firing command (48, 310) to the coupling apparatus. |
