REGULATING VALVE

A regulating valve for improving blocking function for a long period of time and capable of controlling a flowrate over a wide range. A partition wall (4) is provided in a valve main body (1) to partition an inlet flow path (2) from an outlet flow path (3), and an opening portion (5) for establishing communication between the inlet flow path (2) and the outlet flow path (3) is provided in the partition wall (4). A shut-off valve (10) is provided opposed to the opening portion (5) which is curvedly flared toward the shut-off valve (10). There is projectingly provided a control valve (12) positioned at the bottom end of the shut-off valve (10) on the flared side of, and coaxially with, the opening portion (5) and having a collar portion (12a) for defining an orifice (14) in cooperation with the inner peripheral surface of the opening portion (5). The shut-off valve (10) is vertically movable and has a bottom end surface (11) which can abut against a valve seat portion (15) formed around the opening portion (5).
