PURPOSE:To extend a life of a heater by electrifying at least a terminal part heated to form a film of glass quality on a surface of this part, so that the terminal part is prevented from oxidizing at about 600 deg.C. CONSTITUTION:A heating element material and a similar terminal part material of molybdenum disilicide are manufactured by using an extruder method. Both end sides of a round bar terminal part material 5 are held by electrodes 6 to electrify the material 5 heated by applying voltage to the electrodes 6. In this way, a surface side of the material 5 is formed in a layer structure to prevent oxidation. Next, the material 5 is cut into a terminal part length, and a point end is formed in a diameter equal to a heating part by processing the one end side tapered (tapered part 3d), to obtain a terminal part 3. A flame spraying aluminum layer 4 is formed in an end part side surface opposite to the taper 3d of the terminal part 3, to decrease contact resistance in the terminal part. A separately manufactured heating material of linear round bar is worked in a U-shape to obtain the heating part 2. Point ends of the tapered parts 3d are butted to both ends of the heating part 2 and connected by electrification pressure welding to obtain a heater 1.
