The attributive data can be recording data or a communication on the negative film (B). A pattern determination unit (31, fig.2) delivers a pattern (A2) of signs, symbols or markings to be printed, which represent the attributive data of the attributive detector (4). A double exposure unit (2) exposes the light sensitive material (A) with the pattern supplied by the pattern determination unit (31). A vertical determination unit (4) determines the data concerning up and down movement or for the vertical position on the original image on the negative film. A cutting marking unit (C) is provided. A control unit (3,/A) controls the double exposure unit (2), the cutting marking unit (C) and the conveying unit (6). Also the position of the pattern, from the attributive data relative to the original image (A1) on the light sensitive material (A), for copying of the assessed attributive data determined by the determination unit (4). In addition it assesses the alignment of the pattern based on the data from the vertical determination unit (4), to give feed lengths (L1,L2) and determines the time at which the cutting markings are applied on the light sensitive material. ADVANTAGE - Automatically determines feed of light sensitive material, corresp. to size of additional image e.g. communication to be printed, without using unit for manual data input.
