The cap (1), plug (7) and sealing ball (4) form a closed unit. The plug is smaller in dia. than sealing ball. An elastic sealing disc (3) is inserted between bottle and ring attachment on cap and surface pressure produces ring seal. Dia. of hole in sealing disc is less than that of ball. When inside pressure in bottle is too much sealing disc is raised from ball and gas can escape through gas outlet opening. The disc then returns against the ball. Pretension is achieved by keeping defined distance between sealing face and bearing face of disc on ball in dependence on ID of sealing face and selected material of disc.
