The flue gas conduit (2) leading to the heat transmission unit (3) an the flue gas conduit (4) between the heat transmission unit and the heat displacement unit are connected by a by-pass (11) bridging over the heat transmission unit. In the by-pass are incorporated a heat exchanger (12) through which boiler feed water (KSW) flows and/or a steam producer. In the conduit (15) between a heat exchanger (6) of the heat displacement unit (5) fed with flue gas (AG) and a heat exchanger (8) fed with prim. air (PL) is a three-way valve (16). The three-way valve is connected by a conduit (19) with that (17) between the heat exchanger (8) fed with prim. air and the heat exchanger (6) fed with flue gas (AG).
