The decorative panels (4) are fastened to the radiator by two contact flanges (2) which grip the surface of two adjoining fins (1) by means of expanding inserts (3) between the flanges. The panels are of extruded aluminium or aluminium alloy or can be of similarly produced copper or copper alloy and are coated with powdered lacquer. Alternatively, the panels may have internally projecting ribs to be inserted between radiator fins. The expanding inserts are made of material with a higher specific heat expansion factor than the radiator ribs, or they may be hollow and filled with a liquid with many times greater coefficient of expansion. ADVANTAGE - Panels are decorative and have high transitory heat conductive factor.
