Bicycle frame with sprung rear wheel - has swing fork mounted on bottom frame tube in front of saddle tube and spring at rear acting roughly at right angles to chain
摘要
The fork (14) hinges on the main frame (1) at a point in front of the saddle tube (5) and preferably on the bottom tube (4). The spring is mounted behind the saddle tube and acts in a plane (F-F) parallel to the rear axle (16). The spring intersects the chain top run (A-A) at an angle of 80-120 deg., and preferably 90-115 deg., to the chain tension direction. At the attachment point to the fork, the spring can be at right angles to the fork prongs. ADVANTAGE - Gives stable ride unaffected by pedalling or braking.
