A coupling which allows a radial offset between the two coupling halves has three concentrically arranged ring-shaped coupling intermediate members (22, 24, 26) with radial arms. Each coupling intermediate member is linked by a connecting rod (34) to a radial arm (18) of the first half (10) of the coupling and by another connecting rod to a radial arm (20) of the other half (12) of the coupling. In order to better absorb the centrifugal forces which act on the connecting rods, the coupling halves (10, 12) have axial projections with recesses (40) in which are mounted rubber bearings (52). The connecting rods have journal bodies (60) mounted in the rubber bearings (52) and linked to brackets (70, 82). The connecting rods (34) are mounted in a similar way on the arms (28, 30, 32) of the coupling halves (22, 24, 26) by means of eyes and rubber bearings. All bearings are symmetrically arranged with respect to a center plane (168). The bearings of the coupling intermediate members (22, 24, 26) are slidably arranged by pairing steel and grey cast iron. The coupling intermediate members (22, 24, 26) are axially supported on each other over shoulders and annular surfaces. |
