The front assembly has a front plate (13) composed of at least three assembled plate sections (A,B,C). They are bonded together and are bonded to the base of the door. The viewing window (14) in the front plate (13) is carried by one plate section (B), flanked by further plate sections (A,C) at the opposite sides. The plate sections (A,B,C) are bonded together by shape and/or positive connection, welding or adhesive bonding. The plate sections (A,B,C) can be shaped plastics components. The plate sections (A,B,C) are covered by a film, which is transparent or partially transparent at the window (14). The plate section (B) with the window (14), is wholly cladded over its front by a transparent or partially transparent material, while the flanking sections (A,C) are covered with a non-transparent material. The plate section (B) with the window (14), can have a white cladding, which is transparent on a back lighting. A funnel-shaped light collector is at the rear side of the place section (B) for the window (14). The plate sections (A,B,C) are secured to the frame round the whole front plate area, pref. by insertion, and bonded to the base of the door. The frame carries the protective pane or grid over the whole front place surface. ADVANTAGE - Reduces tooling and gives variety of shapes and effects.
