Control of nipper action on comber - has servo motor for adjusting the position of the hinge axis of the nipper support support spring strut
摘要
A comber has a bottom nipper arm and a linked top nipper arm supported by a hinged spring strut. The hinge axis of the strut has a control motor which displaces it. The hinge axis (A) is provided by the axis of an eccentric mounted on a shaft which is supported on the machine frame and can be rotated by a motor under the control of an electronic controller. The motor can be used to bring the position of the hinge axis to its optimum position and once the adjustment has been made it remains stationary during the combing cycle. USE/ADVANTAGE - Use of a separate servo-motor for controlling the hinge axis position gives more precise control of the comber nip.
