The invention relates to a device for forming and delivering a coil shaped yarn supply to a yarn consuming device, such as a pneumatic weaving machine. The device consists of a rotatable winding drum (1) and a rotatable yarn guide arm (5). According to the invention the winding drum (1) and the guide arm (5) are driven by independently controllable electromotors (2, 7).
