<p>An impregnating agent for glazing and internal dyeing of wood contains water, at least one glazing pigment, a film-forming polymeric binding agent, at least one biocide which acts as a preservative and two or more at least partially water-miscible aliphatic hydrocarbon-free solvents of which one is a glycol and the other regulates evapn. USE/ADVANTAGE - The use of the impregnating agent obviates the need for a special preservative pre-treatment prior to glazing. The agent impregnates the wood more easily and the staining is simpler and easier to achieve than previously. The wood can be permanently and effectively impregnated by only 2 applications of the agents to the surface which renders the wood resistant to external influences and protects it from sun, UV rays and the cold. The resulting appearance of the wood is good. The agent dries at a rate that is neither too fast (which would give a skin or an uneven raw surface) not too slow (which would result in too long a wait between applications).</p> |
