<p>A shelf divider (10) adapted to support and organize objects located on the shelf (12). The shelf divider (10) includes an upper and a lower web portion (32, 34) adapted to be positioned against the exposed edge surface of the shelf (12), a base plate (40) extending perpendicularly from the upper web (32) and a clamp arm (60) extending from the lower web (34) in opposed relation to the base plate (40). The clamp arm (60) is movable between a closed position and an open position. The clamp arm (60) is biased toward the closed position so that, when in the mounted state, the clamps free-end portion (64) bears against the lower surface (16) of the shelf (12). The base plate (40) has connected to it a relatively flat divider panel (80). The divider panel (80) is adapted to have sides (86, 88) which are fin facing relationship with the objects on the shelf (12). Further, the divider panel (80) includes stiffening rigs (94, 96) on each side of the divider panel (80). The stiffening ribs (94, 96) project outwardly from the divider plane (80) to resist deflection of the divider panel (80) when it is mounted on the shelf (12).</p> |
