<p>An implantable device capable of administering at least one liquifiable dosage form is provided. The device includes a housing with at least one liquifiable dosage form sealed within the housing by a tissue-replaceable matrix. The matrix is a substantially solid barrier that is gradually converted into an in vivo barrier by proliferation and infiltration of tissue formed by an inflammatory tissue response induced by implanting the housing or exacerbated by other compounds in the tissue-replaceable matrix. A method for making the implantable device is also provided.</p> |
