The lamp comprises a main lamp and its switching control circuit for controlling ac supply to the main lamp and an auxiliary lamp and its switching control circuit. The auxiliary switching control circuit consists of the first triac and the second triac, the first gate circuit for supplying the gate current and voltage to the first triac, a galvanometer for checking the ac current through the main lamp, a bridge rectifier for rectifying the output of the galvanometer, and finally the second gate circuit for supplying the gate current and voltage to the second triac by clamping the output of the rectifier.
