<p>The subject of the invention is a coupling for compressed air pipes, including flexible ones, which coupling guarantees safe operation even in the case of compressed air lines in which the diameter tolerance is higher than usual, while its manufacture is simpler and more economical. For this purpose, the pipe lock ring 2 is carried by a sleeve 6 which, when shifted axially towards the inside of the body of the joint, engages operatively with the pipe lock ring 2 in such a way that the locking jaws 3 of the ring are divaricated. Thanks to this embodiment of the coupling, the pipe lock ring or the locking jaws can be made in such a way that they make it possible to certainly overcome relatively large tolerances in the diameter of the compressed air pipe.
