PURPOSE:To obtain a soft-magnetic alloy foil minimal in iron loss by applying a magnetic field of specific intensity to an alloy foil containing specific amounts of Fe, Ni, Si, and B and having specific thickness and performing heat treatment at specific temp. CONSTITUTION:A composition consisting of, by atomic ratio, Fe, Ni, Si, and B is formed. In formula, X=(1 to 30), Y=(10 to 18), Z=(7 to 17), and (X+Y+Z)<80. An extra thin soft-magnetic amorphous alloy foil having the above composition and <=7mum thickness is prepared by rapidly cooling a molten metal. A magnetic field of >=1Oe magnetic field intensity is applied in a width direction of the foil and heat treatment is performed at a temp. not higher than the Curie point. By the addition of Ni, the fluidity of the material is increased and the effect of heat treatment in a width direction can be obtained. This material is inexpensive as compared with a soft-magnetic Co alloy. |
