PURPOSE:To provide an apparatus for producing a single crystal capable of producing an ingot of the ferrite single crystal having a uniform composition in a continuous length. CONSTITUTION:The objective apparatus is equipped with a heating heater (6), having plural temperature regions divided in the vertical direction and individually controlled so as to set the plural temperature regions at respective prescribed target temperatures and a crucible (1), arranged in the heating heater (6) and containing a raw material for a single crystal to be a seed crystal (4) of the single crystal stored therein. The heating heater (6) and the crucible (1) are provided so as to enable the free relative movement, and a raw material rod (5) movably installed in the vertical direction in the heating heater (6) and having the same composition as that of the raw material for the single crystal is hung in a position above the crucible (1). The raw material rod (5) is melted with the heating heater (6) and dropped onto the raw material for the single crystal. |
