PURPOSE:To provide a waste water treatment method reducing the amount of methanol required in the reduction of oxide nitrogen to a large extent when oxide nitrogen formed by the oxidative decomposition of org. nitrogen or ammonia nitrogen in waste water in a nitration tank is reduced and removed in a denitrification tank by injecting methanol as an org. carbon source. CONSTITUTION:The waste water pretreated in a flocculation reactor 3 and a flocculated floc separator 4 is guided to a biological treatment apparatus constituted by arranging a denitrification tank 6, a nitration tank 7 and a denitrification tank 8 in this order. The liquid issed from the nitration tank 7 is returned to the front of the denitrification tank 6 as a circulating liquid. Oxide nitrogen formed as the result of the oxidation of org. nitrogen and ammonia nitrogen in the nitration tank 7 is reduced and removed in the denitrification tank 6 using eluted org. matter as a carbon source. Residual oxide nitrogen is reduced and removed in the denitrification tank 8 using methanol 10 as an org. carbon source. |
