<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate or simplify separating work of slag and metal and melt- cutting work of the metal by improving a slag pan for receiving the molten slag containing the molten metal produced in a factory having relation to steelmaking and carrying to a slag treating yard while cooling and solidifying. CONSTITUTION:Single or plural partitions 4 for dividing and precipitating the molten metal are arranged at the bottom part of the slag pan 1. The molten metal is solidified at the lower part of the pan by the sp. gr. separation, but since there are some pieces of the partitions 4, this metal is made small blocks, and after separating the slag, these metal blocks can be recycled as they are without melt-cutting.</p> |
