PURPOSE:To provide the subject setter capable of producing aluminum nitride sintered compacts free from warpages and malappearance in an industrially advantageous way. CONSTITUTION:The objective boron nitride setter to be used for obtaining aluminum nitride sintered compacts by baking aluminum nitride with a sintering auxiliary can be produced by using boron nitride powder of <=0.1wt.% boron oxide content and the sintering auxiliary. Thereby, the purity improving process for boron nitride form can be omitted, leading to shortening the production process for the setter and attaining its cost reduction; besides, by using this setter, aluminum sintered compacts with no warpages and cloudiness can be produced. |
