PURPOSE:To uniformly spread urethane foaming stock over the rear surface of skin material and consequently obtain void-free molded article by a method wherein bank- like projected pieces are equipped at the upper part of the inclined plane of the cavity of a lower mold so as to provide projections at the required intervals on the projected pieces in order to shape the projections into the specified forms at a mold for bringing skin material close contact with the insert member of an upper mold. CONSTITUTION:Insert member is set on the core 24 of an upper mold 26, while skin material 14 is set on the cavity 28 of a lower mold 30. At the upper part of an inclined plane, band-like projected pieces 32 are equipped for forming the openings and the like of an instrument panel. Projections 34 are provided on each projected piece 32 at the required intervals. Urethane stock is poured to the rear surface of the skin material 14 from above the projected pieces 32 diagonally. By closing the upper mold 26, the projections 34 bring the skin material 14 into contact with the insert member 12. The projection 34 hinders the flow of the urethane stock. Accordingly, the form of the projection 34 is made into rhombic form, vertically long hexagonal form, circular form or the like so as to allow to easily meet the branched-off urethane stock at the part very near on the opposite side of the projection 34. |
