PURPOSE:To prepare an aqueous polyester resin compsn. excellent in fingerprint resistance, oil resistance and plasticizer resistance by compounding 5-50% of a specific polyester resin, 1-20% of an org. compd. having the compatibility with water and 30-94% of water. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous polyester resin compsn. for an image recording medium is prepared by compounding 5-50% of a polyester resin having a glass transition point of 40-70 deg.C, a specific gravity of 1.29 or more and an SP value of 5-12.0 and not soluble in methyl ethyl ketone, toluene and a mixed solvent thereof, characterized by that 65mol% or more of the glycol component being the constituent component of polyester is ethylene glycol and having at least one hydrophilic polar group, 1-20% of an org. compd. having the compatibility with water and 30-94% of water. This aqueous polyester resin compsn. is applied to a base material such as paper, synthetic paper, a plastic film or glass and dried to form an image receiving layer to produce an image receiving sheet. |
