PURPOSE:To obtain the subject sintered compact with high form density and raw mechanical strength, excellent in releasability and degreasability by press molding a powder mixture of aluminum nitride powder, an acrylic ester copolymer and alkylene oxide copolymer followed by baking. CONSTITUTION:Firstly, a dispersion prepared by dispersing aluminum nitride powder in an organic solvent is incorporated with an acrylic ester copolymer resin as binder and a polyalkylene oxide resin. Then, the resulting slurry is granulated and the resultant granules are press molded and then baked, thus obtaining the objective aluminum nitride sintered compact. Because of being excellent in resistance to thermal decomposition, this sintered is also degreasable in a short time. Besides, with the high density of the form as the precursor, the present sintered compact is free from defects and is low in the shrinkage rate in the baking process, leading to substantial expansion of its applications as electronic parts and substrates for semiconductor parts and of the capacity responding to its mass production. |
