PURPOSE:To certainly reproduce the shape design of a mold by conforming a cloth like backing material to the molding surface of the mold, in molding a cushioning member having the cloth like backing material is integrally bonded to the rear surface thereof, by providing a slit or notch to the backing material at the position corresponding to the shape change part such as the corner or protruding part of the cushioning member. CONSTITUTION:A shape change part 34 is formed to the molding surface 31a of an upper mold 31 and a cloth like backing member 15 is preset to the molding surface 31a. A slit 16 is formed to the backing material 15 at the position corresponding to the shape change part 34. When a synthetic resin foamable material P is introduced into a cavity 33, the slit 16 is slightly opened by foaming pressure and the backing member 15 conforms to the molding surface 31a and the shape of the shape change part 34. Therefore, foaming is not obstructed by the backing member 15 and the design shape of the mold is certainly reproduced. |
