PURPOSE:To make it possible to form a preform, the size of which is too large to be formed by the conventional forming method, with an exhauster having the same capacity as that of a conventional one. CONSTITUTION:In the manufacturing method of fiber reinforced preform, which is performed by piling up fiber reinforcing material and adhesive 12 on a preform forming screen mold 1 having a large number of small holes 2 under the condition that the air is sucked through the small holes 2 from one side of the screen mold 1, some part of the group of the small holes 2 of the screen mold 1 is covered with airtight sheet 13 so as to pile up the fiber reinforcing material and the adhesive 13 on the part, which is not covered with the airtight sheet 13, of the screen mold 1. Next, after the airtight sheet 13 is removed, fiber reinforcing material and adhesive 13 are further piled up to the part, from which the airtight sheet 13 is removed, and finally the adhesive 12 is dried and hardened so as to produce the fiber reinforced preform concerned. |
