PURPOSE:To provide the subject growth promoter containing, as active ingredient, a three-component mixture composed of a mixture of citric acid (salt) with malic acid (salt) at a specified proportion and a phytohormone having auxin activity. CONSTITUTION:The objective growth promoter contains, as active ingredient, a three-component mixture composed of a mixture of citric acid (salt) with malic acid (salt) at the weight ratio of (2:8) to (8:2) and a phytohormone having auxin activity. By either applying this promoter on the leaves and stems of sweet potatoes or immersing sweet potatoes in its solution, the root development of sweet potatoes can be promoted, resulting in the quality improvement and increased yield of sweet potatoes. |
