PURPOSE:To prevent a data breakdown caused by an illegal data transfer by detecting a data transformation generated by a data transfer between a disk device and a main storage device. CONSTITUTION:The system is constituted so that a data transfer between a main storage device 1 and a magnetic disk device 4 is executed through a DMA data buffer 62 on a channel device 6, and DMA data buffers 511 and 531 on a magnetic disk controller 5, and when a series of data transfers thereof are finished, a microprocessor 521 on the magnetic disk controller 5 reads out a final word of transfer data left in the buffer 511, imparts it to a completion status and transfers it to the channel device 6, and a microprocessor 61 on the channel device 6 which receives it reads out the final word of the transfer data left in the buffer 62 and compares it with the final word imparted to the completion status, by which whether the data transfer is finished normally or not without causing a data transformation is discriminated. |
