<p>PURPOSE:To provide an inexpensive waveform equalizer capable of being applied also to a case having plural elements exerting influence upon the characteristics of a transmission reproducing system and appropriate for reducing the bad influence of these elements. CONSTITUTION:In the waveform equalizer 30 provided with a neural network 20 consisting of plural conversion units having non-linear I/O characteristics and connected by individual connection factors and plural signal delay circuits 41 to 44 for delaying signals, I/O signals from the circuits 41 to 44 to which signals deteriorated by a transmission/reproducing system are inputted are inputted to the network 20 and signals corresponding to the state of elements exerting influence upon the characteristics of the transmission/reproducing system are also inputted to the network 20. Since plural signal deterioration factors can be removed by the single neural network 20, the deterioration of signal quality can be extremely effectively improved at a low cost.</p> |
