<p>PURPOSE:To realize an inexpensive video signal transmission equipment which does not require a quickly operating circuit constitution regardless of the considerably increase of the number of effective picture elements of a video signal like a high-vision picture and is easy to produce. CONSTITUTION:This transmission equipment is provided with plural encoding circuits 2 and 3 and plural decoding circuits 7 and 8. On the transmission side, an input video signal is divided into plural areas, and respective areas are encoded by independent encoding circuits 2 and 3, and encoded data are multiplexed and transmitted. On the reception side, transmitted reception data is separated into encoded data of individual areas, and video signals of respective areas are decoded by independent decoding circuits 7 and 8 and are synthesized into one video signal.</p> |
