<p>PURPOSE:To provide a magnetic tape device capable of searching the program of a desired music at the time of reproduction after re-recording and detecting the smooth program number, or the like, and also capable effectively recording to the tape, by rewinding or feeding the specified amount of magnetic tape. CONSTITUTION:When the re-recording is performed from the midst of the magnetic tape represented by an R-DAT, an instruction key (recording pose key) to instruct the transfer to the recording state is pressed. Sub-code information such as the program number, absolute elapsed time, start ID, read-in signal, etc., recorded on the sub-areas 44 which are provided at both sides of plural tracks 41 formed on the magnetic tape 22, are read out. The location of a magnetic head is judged, then the magnetic tape is unwound or fed to the back and forth of each code area.</p> |
